Chapter 452 A Strange Battle

Chapter 452 A Strange Battle

The Warsaw Supreme Council is the only building that spans both above and below ground.

Standing at the center of a vast underground network, above ground is a well-preserved and magnificent centuries-old manor house, while beneath the old house lies the place where councilors held meetings and collected taxes.

Among those councilors were descendants of heroes from the uprising against fascist rule, leaders of powerful forces in the wilderness, wealthy businessmen who controlled food, water and energy, and gang leaders who had Soviet backing and possessed large quantities of weapons and ammunition.

Regardless of their past, half of these people have now become vampires.

Those who refused to transform mostly roamed outside, while those living in the ancient houses on the surface were basically only vampires and their servants.

The six Zorians sneaked in through the secret passage to a location that was quite central in the underground of the manor. There weren't many guards here, but the servants coming and going were no longer human; they were all blood servants.

Their sense of smell and hearing are quite acute, and they are as familiar with human scents as they are with food.

Looking at the deep corridors around them, which resembled an ancient castle, the children were at a loss.

"How do we find Rice?" Bojan asked in a low voice.

"Can't you control rats? There must be plenty of rats in the vampire's lair. Let them help us find them!" Yashbik said.

The two youngest children were at the very back of the line, peeking out and observing.

"The rats here are all controlled by vampires. With Bukawaki making such a commotion, he's bound to be discovered!"

"Where is your forest spirit? Ask its roots underground?"

Yashbik frowned: "The plants here are all clumsy—I'll give it a try—"

Just like Zorian, she gently touched the diary at her waist with one hand. The next moment, a green figure that resembled both a deer and a human leaped out and then disappeared.

Immediately afterward, Hermione felt as if, just like when she faced the rainforest of the Swamp Witch, the roots, moss, fungi, and other things buried underground had come to consciousness and were silently communicating with the Tartar girl.

However, perhaps the vegetation here is indeed not very intelligent; it couldn't even recognize the three invisible figures.

Soon, Yashbik opened his eyes in despair: "No, they can't understand the specific appearance of humans. Every day, many people are tied up here to be used as food by the upper class. They don't know which one is Rice."

"Let's stop worrying about it and just grab one to interrogate," said the eldest sister who controlled the Goddess of Winter.

Just then, a blood servant carrying a cleaning bucket passed by, and she pressed down on her diary, softly calling Morana's name.

The next moment, a chilling coldness crept silently along the ground.

Upon reaching the back of the blood servant, a sinister and terrifying woman, resembling a white-clad vengeful spirit, suddenly appeared, exuding a chilling aura.

A pale, blackened hand suddenly wrapped around the blood servant from behind, freezing him instantly. In the blink of an eye, he was dragged into the dark alleyway.

Branislava's interrogation method was also unique; instead of thawing the blood servant, she directly ripped his soul out of his body.

From Hermione's perspective, the Winter Wraith seemed to overlap with her, and voices that only souls could hear came from her mouth.

The souls that were forcibly captured were in a daze, yet they answered every question.

"It's more convenient than Truth Potion, but they'd be better off learning Legilimency." Grindelwald was in a good mood and curiously approached to study the manifested mythical creature.

"Found it!" The witch of winter suddenly opened her eyes, and the soul in her hand shattered into pieces.

But the next moment, a piercing alarm suddenly sounded throughout the corridor.

"Enemy attack! Someone has infiltrated!"

The sharp sound waves, carrying a piercing pain that seemed to penetrate the brain, arrived as if a vampire were shrieking.

"The Blood Servant and his master have a soul connection; she shouldn't have killed him directly," the Dark Lord chuckled, as if looking at a reckless and immature child.

"We've been spotted! Get moving!" The eldest sister rushed out of the dark alley.

"Follow the frost!"

A chill swept through the dark corridor, followed closely by the others.

Their mythical creatures empower their respective masters, enabling them to run faster and have greater stamina.

The master of the slain blood servant seemed to be able to pinpoint the location of the intrusion, and a large number of blood servants began to surround the area. In addition, the heavily armed guards on the outer perimeter also began to search after receiving orders.

"Don't hold back! Rice has been taken to the surface!" the older sister said very quickly.

"It looks like they're going to move him away!"

Upon hearing this, everyone became anxious, and their expressions turned fierce as they faced the enemies appearing in the corridor and on the stairs.

"Viles!" Zorrian shouted.

The golden-gray snake shadow finally revealed its true form.

A gray-skinned deity with the lower body of a snake and the upper body of a human, topped with bull horns, wearing a mocking golden mask, exuding an eerie divine aura.

The moment it appeared, the surrounding walls and stairs turned into a soft, muddy texture, trapping the blood servants inside.

Zorian pulled two submachine guns from his waistband and began firing in front of him.

Even the most resilient Blood Servant, when pinned in place and shot like a target, quickly collapses, riddled with bloody holes.

An even more piercing shriek came from deep within the old house, but the other party was not angry; these cheap servants were meant to hold back the intruders.

"Forest Demon!" Yashbik shouted softly.

A half-human, half-deer elf suddenly appeared out of thin air and carried her to the front of the group.

From the cracks in the wall, a large number of plant roots sprouted new life, and the dense, thick roots blocked the enemy's path to reinforcements on both sides of the passage.

As mushrooms grew and bloomed, the already poorly ventilated passageways were instantly filled with spores.

The moment the rushing guards made contact, they were covered in blisters and rashes, and collapsed, struggling to breathe.

"Watch out, it's a vampire!" Zorian warned.

As you can see, among the enemies descending the stairs from the front, there are already some elegantly dressed vampires who are of higher status.

They were pale-faced, carrying guns and longswords, baring their fangs at the intruders.

"Lylek!" Metek, the second youngest, called out to his mythical species as he ran.

The next moment, a strange animal that looked like an ostrich but with bristling fur and big eyes suddenly appeared.

It disappeared with a strange cry, and when it reappeared, it was already next to the vampire.

A sharp cry startled the other party, causing them to lose their footing and tumble down the steps, taking a large group of enemies with them.

"Watch out for grenades!"

Zorian reminded him, and the next moment, Veles swam down from the muddy ceiling and threw two grenades with the pins off at the scattered crowd.

"boom!"

"boom!"

Two explosions followed, and the scene immediately quieted down.

"Keep pushing upwards!"
