Chapter 494 Everything About the Holy Grail War

"You're right," Grindelwald agreed with Hermione's idea.

After calming down from the bleak future, he quickly analyzed the results.

"The ceremony isn't actually that complicated."

In his heterochromatic eyes, the light of wisdom now surpassed that of destruction.

Having personally visited the site, Grindelwald, with his comprehensive understanding, could easily comprehend the entire mechanics of the Fulfillment Cup.

"The Holy Grail, which has been accepted by Muggles for thousands of years and is said to contain the blood of Jesus, has a special significance that makes it the most important symbol in ritual magic."

"The principle behind granting wishes comes from the unique magic of fairies, which is quite compatible with the imagery of the Holy Grail."

"And the driving force for fulfilling one's wishes comes from three sources!"

"Firstly: The corpses piled up under the tower are the remains of wizards and humans who have died over the past fifty years."

"Secondly: The living wizards."

Through the still swirling dust, Hermione saw wizards of varying ages imprisoned and fixed in cold, hard restraints throughout the city, their magic being constantly drained. Among them was Rhys, the young man with the mythical seed of the Town of the Gods, who was also among the test subjects.

These were captured secretly by the goblins over the years through the Muggle regime. They wouldn't kill these wizards rashly, but rather use them as renewable batteries.

"Dead humans are both anchors and targets; their rotting, piled-up corpses can provide a portion of the basic power."

"And the magic of the living wizards possesses another kind of power: the power to make their wishes come true."

Grindelwald's gaze swept across the entire Fairy Realm, across the plains, and into the distance, he saw the ancient Seven Villages surrounding the Fairy City.

"As for the third point: within the Seven Fairy Villages, there are seven hidden energy channels, which are the most important source of power that sustains the Holy Grail!"

Beneath the dazzling starry sky, above the skies of every fairy homeland, there is a huge, dark green vortex from which some gloomy, muddy substance is constantly dripping.

From beneath those majestic mountains, seven underground pipes lead all the way to the city in the heart of the plain, but they are hidden so well that they are difficult to find.

"That's the source of the Holy Grail's power!" Hermione looked up at the sky and said in a deep voice.

The Fairy Realm is an independent small world. There is no energy source here that can supply such a grand ambition. Obviously, the seven vortexes above the Fairy Seven Villages are their way of drawing energy from the outside world!

"We must destroy the Seven Fairy Villages, or at least sever those seven pipes?"

Grindelwald nodded.

"I think we don't need to go into the city anymore, not even before the final battle."

He waved his hand to disperse the swirling sand and dust, erasing all traces of the magic.

"Let's go, we're going to explore the entire Fairy Village."

Of course, the two didn't actually measure the distance with their feet; instead, they transformed into two invisible plumes of smoke and shot towards the distant mountains at an extremely fast speed.

Whether due to power issues with the super-large phenomenon stabilizer or internal strife among the fairies, the dark red light remained confined to the plains.

Oh, it can't be called a phenomenon stabilizer anymore; it's clearly Lanlock II's own power. He stored some of it in the gyroscope, and that's what the outside world calls a "stabilizer."

"The original plan remains unchanged; the wizarding army still needs to break through here." While flying, Grindelwald casually tossed down a series of black iron nails.

As soon as they land, they quickly burrow underground and disappear without a trace; they are door keys used for location tracking.

"We must destroy all seven pipelines simultaneously in the shortest possible time, so the wizard army needs to split into seven groups for a surprise attack!"

'

Beneath their feet lay Avalon, the homeland of fairies, a crystal-clear lake surrounded by forests and swamps. In the middle of the lake was a magnificent, fairyland-like island, dotted with white stone buildings. Some fairies, who appeared to be commoners and were not wearing armor, roamed among the islands.

"You mean—" Hermione was reminded of something else by the wizarding army that had split into seven groups.

"Indeed, this will be the second challenge for the Goblet of Fire warriors," Grindelwald said abruptly.

"!?!" Hermione was taken aback. She had thought that the old man would assign each of the six schools to one location, and then use the power of the Vigilantes or Hogwarts to deal with the seventh location.

But the Dark Lord was bolder than she had imagined in some matters.

"They're just students!" she said, frowning.

"Even the lowest scorer, Strom, has the ability to take on a small Muggle army one-on-one. Age is never a problem," Grindelwald said nonchalantly.

"They are the most outstanding geniuses in the wizarding world, warriors selected by the Goblet of Fire."

"Led by them, leading their respective schoolmates and comrades, they will form a sharp blade that can break through everything!"

As if he had thought of something interesting, he smiled and said, "The children of the experimental subjects, aren't you eager to save their companions? This is the perfect opportunity."

In the ancient Goblet of Fire, there were often challenging trials with the theme of saving the most important people, and Grindelwald simply treated the real situation as a challenge.

Svartalfheim swept past beneath my feet. This was the land of dwarves and dark elves in Norse mythology, a majestic, dark rocky peak from which a constant clanging sound emanated.

Hermione forced herself to clear her mind and keep up with the mad old man's pace.

She had initially thought that Grindelwald intended for the seven warriors to storm in alone, but it now seemed that wasn't the case; he had simply turned the second stage into a team competition, with the warriors serving as representatives and vanguards for the seven schools.

"Isn't this unfair to Levi and his allies?"

Even if the experimental subjects, numbering only a handful, were to mobilize collectively, they would still be no match for the combined strength of the other schools.

"Send Adam to them," Grindelwald said without hesitation.

That intelligent robot with a nuclear reactor inside its body could overwhelm multiple adult test subjects even without using technological means. If it were to unleash its truly powerful technological components, it would probably be no less capable than a heavy firepower unit.

"The second stage begins after Christmas and before spring arrives! And after the warriors conquer these seven fairy homelands, the third stage will immediately begin: a surprise attack on the Crimson City on the plains to seize the Holy Grail that can grant any wish!"

Hermione didn't speak; she turned to stare at Grindelwald, who was flying parallel to her.

After a long pause, he said, "Actually, you're planning to steal Lanlock II's wish at the last minute, aren't you?"

Instead of directly destroying the Holy Grail, cutting off its power supply does not actually damage the fundamental mechanism of the ritual.

As long as that ambitious fairy still has a trick up her sleeve, she will surely find a way to continue pushing forward the Wish Cup!

Wouldn't he have a backup plan? That sounds foolish.

In that chaotic moment, the wizards' seven armies advanced toward the Fairy City, the Holy Grail, having lost its energy, desperately needed replenishment, and the equally ambitious Grindelwald would suddenly appear at the top of the spire to seize the fruits of Lanlock II's victory!

"When you asked me what I wanted to wish for before, were you already planning for this moment?"
