Chapter 519 The Infinity Ring
"The one capable of defeating the Dark Lord is approaching—born into a family that has resisted him three times, born at the end of July—the Dark Lord will mark him as his formidable rival, but he will possess power unknown to the Dark Lord—one of them must die at the hands of the other, for neither can live; only one can survive—the one capable of defeating the Dark Lord will be born at the end of July—"
The Dark Lord? Grindelwald?
Hermione wondered what kind of strange timeline this was, that Trelawney had predicted someone who could defeat Fiend?
That sounds unlikely, doesn't it? A witch from another boundary in this world lineage?
But this timeline journey ended even faster; she only saw Snape being discovered and thrown out by Aberforth before she herself was taken away by the little black snake again.
The space shifted again, this time into the interior of a massive building.
A bustling group of wizard parents, with their children, boarded an old steam train covered in magic.
Hermione stood on the platform, shrouded in mist and steam, watching everything with curiosity.
The sounds of conversation around her gradually reached her ears, letting her know that this place was called Platform Nine and Three-Quarters, a hidden stop in London's King's Cross Station where wizards used their transport to Hogwarts.
"In a peaceful world, do all new students go to school like this every year?"
She pondered absently, "So what era is it now?"
Suddenly, a familiar yet unfamiliar voice came from not far away.
"Is the car parked?" one man asked another. She couldn't remember whose voice it was, but she knew it must be someone she knew.
Looking in the direction of the sound, a large group of people emerged from the mist, pushing carts and boxes, talking as they went. No one noticed a fourth-year witch secretly watching them from a corner.
"Oh my god~" Hermione couldn't help but groan.
Those were middle-aged Harry and Ron, along with Ginny and himself!
"They can't see me!" she thought, though in this world she didn't seem to be a great wizard, at best comparable to Professor McGonagall.
"I did it! Hermione just can't believe I passed a Muggle driving test, right? She thinks I used a Confusion Charm on the examiner."
"No, I didn't!" Hermione, an adult and a mother of two, said.
"I have complete confidence in you."
"In fact, I did cast a spell on him—" they said as they loaded the children's luggage into the car.
"Merlin, how could I possibly marry Ron! And have two children with him!?" Fourth-year Hermione could hardly believe her eyes. She was beginning to understand why the prophets were all acting crazy.
Then a balding Draco arrived with his wife and children, and they talked about sorting and love. Hermione had a strange feeling that she was watching the final chapter of a novel.
"Mom, there's a girl over there who looks just like you in your school photos!" Hugo Granger Weasley suddenly exclaimed, pointing in a direction.
But when everyone looked over, there was nothing there.
The Finger Witch wiped the sweat from her brow with a start. If counterparts from different timelines were to meet, a terrible disaster would occur. Fortunately, she reacted quickly enough.
The little black snake swam out again, and Hermione knew she was about to be taken away again.
"Where are you taking me? Can't we just go back to my own timeline?"
She was determined not to let this guy roam around as he pleased anymore.
The hindsight perspective activated, and she rediscovered the white light path she had left behind in her original world.
Ordinary prophets are often easily lost in the infinite future, while those who see after them do not have such worries, as they are quite familiar with where they came from.
At this moment, Hermione was like a ghost floating above her body. Even stranger, she was floating outside her own world, connected by a thin band of light.
As the little black snake was about to disappear again, the surrounding scenery also changed.
Suddenly, she had a flash of inspiration and pulled out the twisted pointer that Grindelwald had given her from her bosom.
This is a piece taken from a damaged time converter, imbued with strange temporal power.
"Certainly!"
The tiny pointer was aimed at the black snake, and the snake was actually frozen in place for a moment.
Although it was only for a brief moment, the pointer turned to ashes.
But in the blink of an eye, Hermione reacted quickly and caught the guy who was trying to escape again.
"Take me back!"
In her eyes, the path radiating white light, pointing towards her world, unfolded in the void.
She then roughly turned the little black snake's head, making it swim towards the path of light.
This very Gryffindor-style maneuver actually worked! In her vision, the colorful and murky spacetime gradually became clear, and she could once again see the large hole below the Ninth Floor Mysteries Department in the distance.
"Faster!" She pinched the constantly wriggling snake, which darted forward as if in response.
We can see Adam!
At this moment, the brain matter clinging to him seemed to have died for some unknown reason, turning into shriveled, translucent films. The little robot was removing them one by one and constantly searching for something beneath the hole with its eyes.
Suddenly, he saw a chaotic sphere with a shadowy object pulling a black, rift-like thing, flying rapidly toward the hole.
Adam began to retract the steel cable connecting him, pulling his arm back, which was equivalent to pulling the sphere back as well.
As the two drew closer, Hermione finally saw hope of escaping the flow of time.
At that moment, perhaps because they were finally about to return to the real world, the strange little snake and the sphere of time surrounding Hermione began to change.
First, the surrounding glow gradually diminished, and the sphere with unparalleled suction began to slowly shrink, exposing Hermione inside.
Then there was the small black snake in the palm of my hand, which also became smaller as the sphere of spacetime collapsed.
This caused Hermione's hand to slip, and it escaped.
However, the snake did not escape. It suddenly made a nimble turn and charged straight at Hermione.
The speed was so fast that the witch didn't have time to react before she collided head-on with the little snake.
"Huh?" There was no pain, nor any real feeling of being hit.
Just as Hermione was wondering what was going on, she suddenly felt a twitch in her right eye, as if something had crawled into it!
She was startled; the hindsight perspective allowed her to observe herself from a third-person point of view.
This sight startled her again.
The little snake actually slithered into her pupil, and within her eye, it bit its own tail and curled into a black ring!
Immediately following, the gradually collapsing sphere of spacetime, as if it had also received a command, disintegrated into a colorless, luminous fluid, which, under the rotation of the small black snake, surged toward Hermione's eyes.
