Chapter 525 Avalon

Chapter 525 Avalon

Avalon—a legend every British child has heard.

Merlin, whom wizards often mention, had a deep friendship with the fairies here, and the Muggle King Arthur is said to have been sent here to heal his wounds.

The broken steel sword, symbolizing the divine right of kings, will ultimately find its resting place here. Legend has it that the golden apple on the island in the lake has the power to heal all wounds and preserve youth forever.

And now, Harry, the Goblet of Fire warrior, and his comrades, like the wind, break through the hazy mist and enter this tranquil fairy paradise.

Compared to the constant sirens blaring in the city, the fairy homeland, which has been too peaceful for too long, is far inferior in both reaction speed and strength.

Many fairies who had just gotten up and were preparing to start their day's work had just stepped out of their homes when they were blown to pieces by wizards who appeared from the mist.

"Enemy attack! Enemy attack!" they shouted, ringing a large bell atop the white stone building on the misty lake shore.

But the warriors came prepared, and filled with hatred for the extinction of the fairies. How could these fairies, who hadn't even eaten breakfast, possibly resist them?

"Don't stray too far from us, Harry!" James yelled.

He, along with Sirius and Lupin, provided cover for each other, their superb transformations and spells complementing each other, like a sharp dagger piercing swiftly into the heart of the goblin territory.

Behind them were Tonks and other elite Aurors, all of whom Moody had specially selected.

They formed a dense network of magical firepower to suppress the goblins who rushed out to try to resist, while protecting Harry and the other children in the main group.

However, these students had no intention of slacking off. Cedric, regretting not being chosen for the Goblet of Fire, was now determined to prove himself.

He excelled academically and morally at school, and diligently studied Hilmi's Radiant Stone Magic class. At this moment, he was like a cannon, reflecting brilliant Radiant Stone Magic Shards like a machine gun.

Harry's group of four, on the other hand, were a bit bolder.

Three of them were melee wizards: one wielded a flail, one a round shield and short sword, and one a scabbard. Only Draco remained a classic, traditional wizard.

They had already banded together and rushed to the front of the battle line, looking even more reckless than James, which was why the old father had to tell him to come closer.

However, the strength of these four was already in no way inferior to any adult wizard, and in their long adventures, their teamwork was even more seamless than that of the previous generation of raiders.

Harry, wielding the flail, was incredibly brave. The goblins hiding inside the buildings, looking for an opportunity to ambush them, could not escape his precise eyesight. They were then smashed to pieces by the powerful Heimerdinger's hammer.

Neville was always quiet and reserved, but his eyes were sharp and cold. At this moment, there was a gleaming silver sword in his scabbard and wand. Before the battle, he had received special permission from Professor McGonagall and the Sorting Hat to allow him to wield the Gryffindor sword.

At this moment, the scabbard is filled with mercury mixed with the venom of the serpent monster, soaking every inch of the sword's blade and making its power even more terrifying.

Neville, positioned alongside Harry like a pincer movement, charged ahead, holding a scabbard in one hand and a sword in the other.

He easily cleaved through the spells shot by the fairies; even sturdy silver armor and shields could not withstand more than a couple of blows before being neatly cut in half.

Meanwhile, the mercury solution flying from the scabbard is ever-changing, blocking bullets fired by the fairy's guns on one hand, and transforming into another sharp blade on the other, weaving through the enemy ranks.

The Mercury Sword is also a "sword" and can be considered a weapon. Similarly, it can be imbued with the magic of an invisible blade, making this deadly serpent seem to be invisible in the air, appearing and disappearing unpredictably as it cuts through the fairies' defenses.

Draco positioned himself at the rear of the squad, vigilantly observing his surroundings and providing support to his companions with spells. Because the war was of unknown duration, he did not recklessly use the Bloodthirst magic at the outset, but instead assisted his companions with ordinary spells.

This action led some fairies to believe that he was the weak point of the team, and they cunningly tried to sneak around and ambush him.

But what awaits them is a malevolent star that suddenly transforms into a half-dragon, spewing scorching, luminous breath that incinerates the invaders.

Ron, positioned in the middle of the group, was already showing signs of leadership. He kept a keen eye on everything around him, using his superb Ironclad Charms to protect his comrades while also pointing out weaknesses in the enemy formation.

The cold, poisonous short sword in his hand was launched with a projectile spell to kill enemies, and then pulled back with a summoning spell, just like a sword immortal in Eastern legends.

"Watch out on the right, a big vehicle is coming out over there!" he shouted to warn everyone.

Amidst the rumbling tremors, a classic, bronze-clad magical mech, entirely different from the version supplied to Muggles and gleaming with gold, entwined with branches and vines, strode out with heavy steps.

It's clear that this is a version specifically made for fairies. Three short, non-human monsters sit in a triangular formation inside the mecha's abdomen, each controlling a part of the system to ensure the mecha operates harmoniously.

This doesn't seem to be a modern model; it has sleek lines and an elegant aesthetic, resembling a several-meter-tall ancient knight's armor.

Specialized fairy metal possesses properties far superior to Muggle alloys, with rich magical energy flowing across its surface, even sprouting plants on its shoulders and back.

"Watch me smash it!" Harry noticed the threat and, just like when he dealt with the dragon, used Transfiguration to launch himself at high speed, tracing a beautiful arc before swinging his flail down.

But this mech reacted even faster than the dragon. It didn't need to look up; its built-in sensors had already detected the rapidly approaching threat. A brass arm wrapped in vines instantly rose up and collided with Harry's flail.

With a deafening roar, the boy was thrown into the air by the recoil, and was gently caught by Neville's mercury sword and landed lightly in mid-air.

Looking at the magic mech, one of its arms was completely destroyed, but the three fairies controlling it were not panicked.

Dense golden energy flowed at the broken end of the vine, and the shattered and twisted metal arm was rapidly repairing itself, becoming as good as new in the blink of an eye.

"Watch out!" Ron shouted and rushed forward. Suddenly, the steel plate on the mech's chest opened, and a large-caliber machine gun extended and began to spin at high speed.

At the same time, layers of radiance unfolded from the red-haired boy's small round shield, spreading into a huge, thick magical iron wall like a city wall.

One after another, the fairy armor-piercing bullets struck the translucent barrier, creating crystal flowers that resembled cracks in glass. If it were an ordinary wizard's armor spell, a single bullet would probably have pierced through it completely, blowing everyone behind it into rotten watermelons.

But at this moment, under Ron's protection, such firepower was completely ineffective.

"Harry!" James called out as he approached, his father always worrying the most.

The other person hadn't arrived yet, but the power of the Transfiguration had already been demonstrated.

The churning earth was like a giant mouth suddenly closing, instantly swallowing and enveloping the mecha. An invisible suction force and mud churned and dragged it from the bottom, trying to pull the mecha deeper into the earth.

But the next moment, the fairies manipulated the propulsion devices on the back of the mechs, bursting through the soil like cannonballs and flying up again.

The remaining fairies also gathered here, and only with the help of powerful magical mechs were they able to organize an effective resistance.

"We must break through their defenses as soon as possible!" Lupin looked up, his gaze sweeping over the fairies before him.

In the sky, the dark green vortex continued to methodically condense certain substances, which then dripped into a certain spot on the island in the middle of the lake.
