Chapter 539 Severing the Arm
Lanlock is right. Hermione and her Radiant Stone core alone cannot contend with the Holy Grail in terms of magical power.
Although both can be considered as inexhaustible energy, the power limit of the great wizard is extremely terrifying. If the magic released by both sides at the moment were compared with a nuclear power plant, it could almost drain two Cherokees in an instant.
Even the core of the pyroxene will experience a brief power shortage at this moment.
Hermione was able to fight her way to this point by drawing upon the power stored within the sacred tree in New Hogsmeade, through the connection with the newly formed runes.
But this is not a long-term solution; the connection between the Fairy Emperor and the Holy Grail must be severed!
As I thought this, a beam of moonlight, as clear as ice crystals and with intricate silk-like patterns, enveloped the ethereal spire.
As both being powers of the Order of Runes, the crimson thread barrier that Lanlock used to conceal the spire began to collide and cancel each other out with Hermione's pure white moonlight.
"Demon Sword! Pierce that damned moon!" Lanlock screamed.
Before the words were even finished, a dazzling crimson streak pierced the sky, shooting straight at the golden moon.
嗞~
Several beams of blazing white laser suddenly struck the side of the demonic sword. Although this did not stop its progress, such a provocation was quite irritating to this sentient demonic sword.
It paused for a moment, tilting the blade to the side, as if searching for the audacious one with non-existent eyes.
It was Adam. He had been circling near the spire, and when he saw Hermione about to be ambushed, this fearless robot jumped out: "You're a weapon too, just like me."
He held a broken sword, flames spewing from his back, and on his outstretched left hand, laser nozzles continued to relentlessly harass his opponent.
"I represent the pinnacle of human science; how about I witness the ultimate technology of fairies?"
Provoked, the demonic sword instinctively wanted to thrust and pierce the iron lump like a sieve, but just as it was about to move, a red light suddenly appeared on the sword, controlling its movement.
"Obey my command! Destroy that moon!" Lanlock screamed angrily.
Tools without intelligence are too rigid, but tools with intelligence sometimes become unruly. It seems that both humans and fairies face this dilemma.
Obeying the Fairy King's orders, the Demon Sword reluctantly changed direction, intending to ignore the little robot and rush towards the moon once more.
But suddenly, a muffled explosion came from underground.
Immediately afterwards, the towering, ethereal spire suddenly swayed and nearly collapsed.
"What happened!" Lanlock looked around, even though Hermione's Light of Order hadn't broken down the Spire's defenses.
Then came a series of rumbling sounds as a large section of the ground collapsed, finally revealing the underground landscape.
It was a crimson, foul-smelling hellish world, with mountains of human skeletons dating back fifty years to the present day. From ancient, stark white bones to still-fresh ones, even those of wizards who had just died, everything was collected and piled up here. Under the fermentation of some kind of evil black magic, it exuded energy that could be used by the Holy Grail.
At this moment, the Hogwarts Warriors are wreaking havoc in this hellish world.
The flaming spirit deer radiated a light that suppressed all evil. On its two flanked antlers now hung a gleaming silver sword. As it charged through the air and swung its head, the sword swiftly sliced through pipes and talisman pillars, destroying everything beneath the spire with incredible efficiency.
Besides Harry, the others were also able to summon their own Patronus: stags, dogs, wolves, foxes—the animals in the glow formed a vast silver net, traversing the underworld and destroying all evil magic.
Lupin looked at Tonks beside him; the girl's guardian spirit had somehow turned into a wolf.
And then there's Ron, who now has a physical Patronus, a cunning and agile fox. He's actually the fastest at mastering the Patronus Charm among all the kids.
Not only underground, but also above ground, explosions began to be heard continuously from the high-rise buildings surrounding the spire.
Lanlock looked in the direction of the sound and saw a small team, almost entirely children, escorting a large number of emaciated, nearly withered human wizards with strange flying magical monsters. These were wizard "batteries" that they had painstakingly collected from various places.
On the other side, amidst the sudden burst of black flames, Krum, wielding a sword, stood with a cold expression, surrounded by a large number of Fiend Legion and Black Wizards. They were guiding surging fire serpents and fire monsters, gradually engulfing a tall building in flames.
It's not over yet!
Hibiscus of Beauxbatons finally completed the transmutation array on the fairy land. With a faint, flickering burst of electricity, it disintegrated the foundation of a tall building. With the creaking of the load-bearing pillars, the magnificent building collapsed towards the spire.
From all directions, the warriors broke through the defenses. The high-level combat power did not affect the clash of regular combat power. The fairies were no match for these elite wizards.
As the underground world gradually collapsed and the nodes of the surrounding Holy Grail ritual lines were severed, despite the energy supply from the Winter Curse, the Grail of Fulfillment in Lanlock's hands still experienced a brief malfunction.
This is a critical moment of confrontation. Even a momentary loss of power would be enough for Hermione to seize the opportunity and break through the crimson threads surrounding the spire, pulling the tower back into the real world.
Lanlock stumbled and fell back onto the throne, screaming, "The Demon Sword!"
The situation changed abruptly after only a moment's delay. Although the Holy Grail flickered twice before returning to normal, there wasn't enough time to cast the spell to build a barrier again.
Beneath the golden moonlight, a slender figure emerged from the light, seemingly slow but actually fast, swooping downwards.
The demonic sword had just reached her at that moment.
From the witch's palm, a large amount of light emanated, precisely locking onto the hilt of the magic sword that was unable to react in time. With a pull and a tug, she directly tore it backward, sending it flying like a red meteor crashing to the ground!
Hermione's main target wasn't it. As Lanlock straightened up again, she vanished like a ghost, reappearing behind it, her silver staff slashing down with a blade of light.
"Ah!" The Fairy Emperor screamed in agony. Even though he dodged quickly enough, his entire left arm, which was holding the Holy Grail, was severed off at the root.
Hermione opened her left hand, and a suction force was about to pull the falling Holy Grail back.
"Don't even think about it!"
The wounded Lanlock became even more ferocious. He roared and reached out to grab it. His severed left arm immediately exploded, turning into a cloud of blood mist that enveloped the Holy Grail.
"This isn't over yet!"
With his wild shout, the Holy Grail in the blood mist was suddenly uprighted, and its size began to expand like an inflating balloon.
Hermione, wary of the changes, had no choice but to fly upwards to create some distance.
So at the top of this spire, the Holy Grail grew larger and larger, its rim almost becoming a small lake.
The viscous blood swirled in the cup, and the dark green curse above flowed into it even faster.
"Come on, let's see who gets to take this chance to make a wish! Who deserves this order!" The second fairy, his eyes bloodshot, shouted as he leaned on his throne and flew above the blood-red lake, challenging Hermione to a duel.
