Chapter 338 - Stay tuned
"How's the werewolf situation? Can Maria keep them in check?"
They watched the melee below; Harry had defeated the soul dragon, and the situation was beginning to tilt in the children's favor.
"They're still a bit green, but thankfully our moon remains in the werewolves' hearts, so they'll be quite well-behaved for a while," Hilmi said.
Most of those werewolves were newly converted Muggles who had been captured from all over Europe and brought to England. They were far from home, and some of them couldn't even understand English. They had to accept the fact that they had become werewolves while also relearning how to live in the wizarding community.
Every day, they faced a multitude of new things, and their level of education was essentially no different from that of the illiterate, which made Maria's work in advancing her faith not particularly smooth.
Fortunately, these people didn't dare to cause trouble. They would complete their work properly when instructed to do so. However, when it came to studying, they would start to slack off, complaining of needing to go to the toilet or having headaches and eye strain.
"The next full moon is coming soon, and I don't think they'll be able to preserve their sanity with faith. I'll just stay in the sky as the radiant moon then," Hermione pondered. At least she had to make sure that a large number of crazed werewolves wouldn't come out and hurt people during the full moon, otherwise all the hard work she had put into building this would be for nothing.
"That's good too. With a clear belief goal, Maria will find it easier to attend classes."
"By the way, several pregnant women among the Blood Curse Orcs are about to give birth. It would be best to bring an experienced doctor from Beauxbatons. Lady Pomfrey and Lady Malfoy probably don't have much experience in midwifery."
Hermione truly felt that becoming a real leader of a powerful organization was very different from before.
At least a group of students don't need to worry about having children.
"Alright, it's about time to end this small talk." The spirit beast that Hilmi had summoned had been cleaned up.
"Stop throwing a tantrum. At least give Lienia's story a proper ending."
As Hermione spoke, the golden moon charged forward, colliding violently with the terrifying blood moon.
"Ouch!" Hilmi cried out in pain as a white hand pressed down on her head and slapped her out of the moon.
Still dressed as the Queen of the Full Moon, she descended slowly like a falling butterfly, while Hermione returned to the back row to continue her role as the support Fingers Witch.
"In Lienia by the lake, atop the towering Magic Academy, the united heroes finally defeated the heartbroken Full Moon Queen."
Hilmi cooperated with Harry and the others to complete the battle, and after being pierced through the chest again by Neville's magic sword, he turned into black mist and slowly dissipated.
Hermione read their story in an aria-like tone.
"But the conflict was not resolved. A queen who had closed herself off was no longer able to intervene in this broken and desolate land. The heroes seemed to have accomplished nothing except prove themselves."
"Hey! This plot is way too weak!" Harry complained.
Hermione glanced at him: "But it wasn't all for naught. As a reward for the victors, the heroes found the Spirit Horse's Whistle at the Magic Academy, which may make their path ahead smoother."
He stretched out his hand and conjured five small golden rings out of thin air.
After being promoted to Archmage, her memory spells were also enhanced, making it possible for her to conjure spirit horses for Harry and his friends to ride in the spiritual world.
"Blow the whistle, and the spirit horse will come in response. It can carry you at high speed, across terrain, and even through the flow of soul energy, it can help you cross certain insurmountable barriers."
The five children were studying the horned horse with great interest. Harry had already jumped on and mounted it, making the other child double jump in mid-air.
"Why not call it a cow or a horse? It clearly has cow horns."
"And Hermione, did you get this inspiration from my Animagus? Jumping and flying on air—back in the day, you'd have to pay me royalties!"
Hermione ignored him and continued to play her part.
The dark windows of the Great Archives were opened one by one, becoming transparent, allowing the bright sunlight outside to stream in and enabling the group to overlook the entire Lienia from the windows.
"A new road has been opened, but fate has also found a crossroads."
Hermione pointed to the north and east.
"Head north to the glorious royal city of Rodel on the golden Altan Plateau, or to conquer the man-eating serpent that dwells on the Gemir volcano."
"To the east, further east of Nymgford, in the corrupt and decadent Galid, General Shattered Star, leader of the Red Lions, awaits a glorious battle celebration to give him a glorious death."
"Now, the choice is yours. This vast continent is yours to explore."
The children looked in the direction the finger witch was pointing, and to the north, slightly to the east, stood a magnificent golden tree.
Further west, however, lies a somber and ominous landscape of towering volcanoes shrouded in red clouds.
As for the east, in the direction of Nymgford from which they came, looking into the distance, one could see endless crimson stretches, like cursed flowers blooming from the earth, even making the starry sky appear hidden and dim.
"Should we choose for ourselves?" This made the children start to struggle. There were no answers to refer to, and it seemed that Hermione just wanted them to choose a path based on their first instinct.
They gathered together, chattering away.
"A giant, man-eating serpent coiled around a volcano—this idea must have come from Voldemort!"
"We are no match for him now, so we should abandon this route first."
"What about that plateau of golden trees? It looks beautiful," Maria said with great interest.
"Don't let Hermione fool you! The more beautiful something is, the less you should trust it!" Ron said with a serious expression.
"Have you forgotten how many times we've suffered in this lake region? Who would have thought that giant lobsters were hiding in the water!" They had just arrived and were so dazzled by the beautiful natural scenery of Lienia that they were ambushed and overturned by monsters.
And this beautiful castle, who would have thought that a terrifying Iron Maiden doll would drive out the next turn?
"So, all that's left for us is that seemingly dangerous Galid?" Neville asked worriedly.
Harry patted him on the shoulder: "Don't worry, compared to the Volcano Serpent modeled after Voldemort, that General Shattered Star is obviously inspired by Hermione from a chivalric romance novel. It's not much better!"
"Once we get there, defeat him, and then turn back to see the beautiful golden tree and the royal city of Rodel, we can deal with the volcanic serpent—Voldemort is indeed quite terrifying, but we can deal with him last!"
Hermione smiled without saying a word, watching them make their decision.
"So, stay tuned for the adorable star collision!"
