Chapter 339 Lily of the Valley in Purgatory

Chapter 339 Lily of the Valley in Purgatory

With two great wizards in the house, Hermione didn't waste much time and set off for the Albanian forest the next day.

Having been brought here by Dumbledore last time, she was able to Apparate here on her own this time.

Fearing that Voldemort's remaining parts might still be entrenched in the area, she cautiously entered the forest, carrying a staff in one hand and a large serpent spear in the other.

When Tom, having mastered his superb skills, headed to Hogwarts, he practically brought his entire force, taking the vast majority of the Green Flame Party with him.

They all perished on the shores of Black Lake; apart from Barty the Younger, none escaped.

This has left the Death Forest deserted. Many of them thought it was just a fight and they would come back later, so they left behind a lot of tents and living supplies.

Hermione was smarter this time. Before coming, she specially used a Grand Wizard-level Unseen Stretch Charm to expand her bag, packing up everything that seemed potentially useful or that Hogsmeade might need.

She gave herself three days to slowly and methodically erase the scars of death on this land, so that the Green Flame Party could be completely wiped off the earth.

Perhaps because news of Hogwarts' great victory had spread throughout the world and the rumors of Voldemort's defeat were rampant, the few Death Eaters who had stayed behind at the main camp had all fled early. This left Hermione wandering in the forest for a long time without encountering a single living dark wizard, which made her quite disappointed.

Once again, passing through the green flame barrier, which was nearly ineffective due to lack of maintenance, I saw the skeletal church hidden behind it.

Voldemort rebuilt it with magic, but it's clear that it no longer possesses the terrifying essence of its former self.

It was still the same well, still emitting green light and thick radiation, but this time, the Finger Witch's state of mind was completely different.

Having reached this point, she was certain that the remaining Voldemort and Barty Jr. had completely abandoned their former stronghold.

Fearing that Hogwarts would immediately pursue them after the war, they probably never returned during their escape and hid elsewhere.

Because they had just looted the place before the start of the semester and hadn't had time to restock, there wasn't much of value, so Hermione turned her attention to the Well of Immortality.

The intense nuclear radiation gushing from the wellhead meant Voldemort wasn't worried that any of his men would dare to risk their lives to break in. However, he still left behind a vicious curse to deal with any potential intrusion.

However, none of this could stop Hermione. With a wave of her staff in her left hand, she absorbed the rampant radiation, and with her right hand, she slammed her spear into the stone wall at the well's opening, destroying all the evil curses.

"Hopefully what follows won't be too disgusting—"

She silently murmured a prayer, held her breath, and jumped.

Similar to the experience of going through the sewers to the Chamber of Secrets, it involved a long, gliding route, which made Hermione regret that she should have grabbed Snape and asked him about the situation before he left.

Unfortunately, that guy ran too fast. I don't know why, but when he saw Lily, he acted like a mouse seeing a cat.

Fortunately, the fall didn't last long. When Hermione used her wand to poke through the dark, dense green radiation cloud, a scene resembling purgatory appeared before her eyes.

"It would have been better if Voldemort had died a clean death!" She gritted her teeth as she looked at the skeletons of the cubs strung on long sticks, some human, some magical creatures, and some fairies.

Those children were supposed to be her classmates, but now they have become victims of Voldemort's ambition for immortality.

Fortunately, when she ended his pitiful first life with her giant serpent spear, those poor souls were also freed: "The sacrifice of death pierced the holes of reality—"

Thanks to her increased power, the Book of Legnac she read with the coexisting fairies, and the numerous magical theories she crammed in the headmaster's office, she was able to barely understand some of the design here.

The predecessor of the Immortal Realm was an independent fairy cave entrance. The space below was not a real underground space, but a fantasy world created by fairies, just like Wen Yu's Ancient Lant.

Voldemort used nuclear radiation, death, and dark magic to build a transit station that bypassed the laws of the real world. He cleverly borrowed the magic of the fairies and twisted them into evil forms. In a sense, he was similar to the Extinctionists' Winter's Curse. They were both altering reality and were equally difficult to deal with.

"Score! Score!" The Golden Thief Ghost, who hadn't appeared for a long time, emerged from his waist and flew eagerly through the air.

Seemingly smelling something unusual, it plunged headfirst into the ground below.

"?" Hermione looked in the direction it was flying and then noticed the small, pure white flowers blooming in this inferno.

"Are these lilies of the valley in the cemetery?" she murmured to herself in surprise, watching the bees flutter and dance merrily among the flowers, like bees that had found a flower field.

"Could it be that Voldemort's accidental actions have replicated a magical plant similar to the lily of the valley in the Borderlands Cemetery?" She remembered that she had previously regretted that this world did not have materials to enhance ashes.

Although she wasn't a spirit trainer, these lilies of the valley in the graveyard looked to be in pretty good condition, and she thought she might try using them to boost her score.

First, she offered a sincere prayer, thanking the children who had sacrificed themselves for this cause, before picking a flower from the edge of the flowerbed.

"Score, come here."

As if knowing this was to its advantage, the little ghost quickly flapped its wings and flew over, behaving obediently like a child begging for candy.

Thanks to its deep contract with Hermione, it became much stronger after Hermione's power-up. However, the little witch doesn't expect it to fight anymore, so it doesn't matter how strong it becomes.

Looking at the little ghost now, compared to when we first met it, its form has become much more solid. It is no longer as transparent as an ordinary ghost, but rather looks more like a light bulb.

It contains intense and powerful sapphire magic; a single impact from it would likely be more powerful than an ordinary wizard's explosive spell.

However, perhaps influenced by Hermione's moon shape, the little guy felt that he should also become like a celestial body. Its originally exquisitely crafted metal surface is now rough and uneven, like the surface of the moon.

"It's so hard to learn good things, but it's so easy to learn bad things." Hermione chuckled and scolded, then closed her eyes and used her mind to manipulate the soul power within the flower, which resembled a lily of the valley in the graveyard, to strengthen the scoring spirit.

As the gentle white light of nitrogen and argon gradually dissipated, the score lay comfortably in Hermione's palm, its tiny, cicada-like wings outstretched.

She could sense that the little guy had indeed become stronger! The white lily of the valley that Voldemort had accidentally created could really be used as a graveyard lily of the valley!

"If only I could enhance Professor Dumbledore—" she thought involuntarily, then following the direction the flowers grew, she saw the largest and most vibrant flower at the very top.
